🥊Iron Mike v. The Problem Child 🍼

The Netflix bout is expected to set records 💵💵

There is much to look forward to this time of year - from the packed schedule of meaningful games (including NFL, CFB, and CBB) to the upcoming holiday festivities (Don’t forget about Turkey Day 🦃, with all of that great food and football 🏈)! For the headlining sporting event this week, we look to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, but for a unique boxing matchup (and not for the Cowboys, which is good because those Cowboys are getting pretty hard to watch 😬). As you may have heard, Mike Tyson is coming out of retirement to take on Jake Paul, a (much younger) YouTube phenom and boxer! The fight is expected to pull in a record number of boxing-related bets 🤑, only increasing the excitement around the event (much to the benefit 💵 of Netflix, which is the platform streaming the match).

Aside from the Paul-Tyson match, there are a number of marque matchups across a number of sports this weekend, including Tennessee-Georgia (which is essentially a CFP elimination game) in CFB and Kansas City-Buffalo in the NFL. With so many good sporting events this weekend, the real question is: when will we have time to pick up all of the leaves 🍂 in our yard?! For those of you who want to wager on any of the contests this weekend, just remember - don’t gamble; bet bettr 😁😁

TRIVIA
🤔 Does Age Matter? (Don’t) Bet On It.

Given the age discrepancy between Mike Tyson (58) and Jake Paul (27), many commentators are questioning whether the fight between those two fighters should even happen. Notwithstanding this age difference, Tyson does appear to be drawing the vast majority of bets for this match. Per ESPN, the betting public is overwhelmingly siding with Mike Tyson in the fight, which bookmakers say is on pace to be the most heavily bet boxing match in years. The odds have been drifting toward Tyson this week, moving from +225 to +175 this week at ESPN BET, where Paul is listed as a -225 favorite. Although most of the “square” money has been bet on Tyson, most of the bigger bets have been placed on Jake Paul. Do you know approximately (i) what percentage of all bets on this fight have been on Mike Tyson to win and (ii) what percentage of the total handle (i.e., amount of money) has been bet on Tyson?
