Paying the *right* man 💰💰
Brace yourselves, football fans! This week marks a potential turning point in the NFL and college football seasons. We could witness the beginning of the great divide this weekend – the separation between the contenders and the pretenders.
On the NFL side, we’ve got some matchups that are sure to leave us gasping for air (and maybe a cold one 🍺 and some popcorn 🍿 ). The Bills and Ravens are set to clash in a battle of projected AFC frontrunners, while the Vikings and Packers will renew their rivalry in a game that’s always a nail-biter. And let’s not forget about the Saints and Falcons, who are always good for a few surprises (and maybe a few questionable coaching decisions 🤔🤔).
But the real showstopper is in college football: Georgia vs. Alabama 🙌🙌 This is the first real heavyweight matchup 🥊 of the regular season, a clash of titans that will have the entire nation glued to their screens. It’s like watching a heavyweight boxing match, except with fewer punches and more touchdowns 🥳🥳
So, grab your popcorn, settle in, and let the games begin. Regardless of who you are pulling for this weekend, let’s hope these games are as enjoyable as some of the previous matchups in recent memory! (And let’s also hope our bets win 🤑)

Adam Fiske, the CEO of Dimers, was generous enough to spend a few minutes with us. He provided a little personal insight:
Best sports betting tip? “One of the most important things is to manage your bankroll wisely, only betting a small percentage of your bankroll on each wager. Typically, I would bet 1% - 3% depending on the edge.”
What advice would you give to a new sports bettor? “I think the first thing for me is to make sure you are enjoying your betting when you first start. To be a long-term winning bettor requires a lot of time, skill, and discipline - which takes patience - and there is certainly no shame in betting for entertainment purposes, provided you set yourself some boundaries (although we and companies like BettrNation are here to help you improve your experience).”
What is your favorite bet to place? “Recently, my favorite bet has been MLB Home Runs. Dimers Pro (sorry for the plug) identifies many edges in this market each day, and I then overlay this with some personal preferences and research to land on my group of bets. For the NFL Season I expect to take a similar approach across prop markets such as anytime touchdown scorers and various rushing and receiving bet types.”
Life advice? “Personally, I am working on setting boundaries and learning when to say no. As a father of a young family, and CEO of a growing business, it’s important to give my best energy and attention to the people who are most important to me.”
TRIVIA
💨 Speed Kills💨
With a number of big games this weekend, you know a lot of teams will place an extra emphasis on starting the game fast and scoring first! This emphasis on “starting fast” made us wonder what were some of the fastest scores in college football history. This exploration into the depths of CFB history led us to our trivia question for the week. The fastest score in college football (in recent history) occurred in September 2014 during the Wisconsin-Western Illinois game. Can you guess how fast that score occurred?

TRIVIA ANSWER
In that September 6, 2014 game between Wisconsin and Western Illinois, the Western Illinois Leatherneck returner muffed the opening kickoff and stepped back into the endzone for a safety, taking a total of just one second off of the clock. That mishap set the tone for the game, with Wisconsin winning 37-3!
With so many big games this weekend, we’re sure a lot of teams would appreciate an extra two points to start off the game! Speaking of an extra two points, maybe I should add some extra cushion to my spread plays for the weekend? 🤔😜
