A 🆕 Kid on the Block
Washington D.C. returns to relevance 🫡
Well, we weren’t expecting that (and no, we aren’t talking about the disappearance of Mark Andrews in the Ravens-Bills game, although that was surprising too!) 😲 Kudos to Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders for going into Detroit and upsetting the NFC’s #1 Seed! Mr. Daniels has been a rookie sensation this season and very well may be the most popular man in the Nation’s Capital now, even with the return of another certain someone this past week 🤫 Widely seen by commentators as playing with house money 🤑, let’s see if the Commanders can continue to write ✍️ their Cinderella story this week in Philadelphia, taking on their NFC East rival for a chance to go to the Super Bowl!
On a less surprising - but nonetheless still entertaining - note, the Bills-Ravens game last week proved to be a close one, and if that game was any indication, the Bills-Chiefs rematch this week for the AFC Championship game may prove to be another ✨ instant classic ✨ Perhaps Josh Allen (aka Superman) can finally beat his nemesis, Patrick Mahomes, and if the Bills walk away from Arrowhead with the win, then you know they would’ve earned it because the Chiefs seem to have quite the built-in advantage (with the refs on their side 😏).
Finally, on an even less surprising (and way less entertaining) note, congrats to the Ohio State Buckeyes on their National Championship 🏆 victory against Notre Dame this last week! It looks like that Michigan loss to end the season helped Coach Day refocus his talented roster and get them prepared for a National Championship run. Clearly the most dominant team in the CFP, Ohio State proved one thing this season: 💵 money 💵 can apparently win championships in this new era in college athletics.
Here’s to hoping your teams (and bets) show up better than Mark Andrews did in that 4th quarter of the Ravens-Bills game last weekend 🫠 Most importantly, remember:
