🏀 NBA's Nightmare 😱

Hi BettrNation family! To start off on a somewhat serious note, you may have heard 👂about the betting-related scandal dominating the headlines this week, but if you haven’t, here is a quick recap: in what was supposed to be an exciting opening week for the NBA, the FBI made a few startling arrests in connection with mafia-linked 😧 sports and gambling rigging activities. For the sports betting piece of this development, it revolves around the use of insider information to place bets on various NBA games, including the decision by Terry Rozier (the Miami Heat player) to ensure certain bets paid out (e.g., his under for certain prop plays) by getting “hurt” 🤕 and not playing full games. FWIW, this scheme still doesn’t probably explain why you lost all of those prop parlays last year on the NBA 😂😅 - but as members of the betting public, the integrity of the underlying contests (both the games themselves and the related bets) is critical, and these types of schemes - whether conducted through groups or individually - is what gives the leagues, the books, and bettors nightmares 😱

Regarding this weekend’s action, assuming they aren’t rigged 😅, there are a number of exciting 👏🏻 matchups, including some headliners in the SEC like Ole Miss-Oklahoma, Texas A&M-LSU, and the Eagles-Giants. There also appears to be a number of mispriced opportunities in the market, so not only can you enjoy some good football (and hopefully basketball 🤞🏻) all weekend - but you may just be able to win some money while you do 😜
