🍀 The (Bad) Luck of the Irish

Paying the *right* man 💰💰

So, about that Notre Dame loss to Northern Illinois... yeah, that happened 🤯🤯 Turns out, there is a first time for everything, even for NIU to upset a top 🔟 team. And hopefully your response to your bets last weekend was similar to Northern Illinois’s response to their win against ND!

What a doozy of a way to start this college football season. It's a perfect reminder that anything can happen in this sport, and that's what makes it so thrilling. No matter how much you pay for your players, they still have to show up on Saturday (right, ND and FSU?)🤣 Buckle up, folks, because, if the first two weeks are any indication, this season is going to be a wild ride. 🎢🎢

Speaking of wild rides, the NFL season is off to a bang. We've already seen a game decided by a toe (Isaiah Likely, we're looking at you 👀👀) and a starting quarterback going down with an injury (Jordan Love, we feel your pain 💔). It's a stark reminder that in football, it's often a game of inches and good (or bad) fortune. But hey, that's what makes it so exciting. Let's hope the rest of the season is full of thrilling comebacks, unexpected twists and some (good) luck for you, your team(s), and your bets 🤞🤞

Outsource some of the time and effort you spend in preparing for your bets to us @ BettrNation; we vet the resources in the marketplace and distill the data into actionable information, all in an effort to help you filter the signal from the noise.

At BettrNation, we often refer to “macro-plays”, which are betting opportunities based on inefficiencies in the sports betting marketplace. (See our Training Camp in Skool for more details on these macro-plays!) This week, we want to highlight OddsShopper, one of the leading providers of “macro-play” insights. TRIVIA
💰Quarterbacks cashing in💰

Whether it is in college or in the NFL, it pays to be a quarterback. Last weekend, Dak Prescott signed a ⭐ record-breaking deal ⭐ with the Dallas Cowboys, and at the college level, numerous quarterbacks are 🌧️ making it rain 🌧️ with their NIL deals. A handful of other, non-QB CFB players are cashing in on their image too. Of the top 20 CFB players with the highest NIL value, how many are not quarterbacks? (Bonus points if you can name these non-QBs!)

EDUCATION
🦁 On the hunt for straggling lines…

As noted above, we refer to “macro-plays” as desirable betting opportunities given that they are about capitalizing on inefficiencies in the sports betting marketplace. For example, some books are slow to update their lines to reflect changes in the relevant market price, meaning that those lagging lines represent mispriced opportunities for you to jump on. For this week’s education session, we learn more about a form of “macro-plays” from OddsShopper, one of the leading providers of “macro-play” insights:
