🏈 Bettr Week for the SEC?

Well, Week 1️⃣ of the CFB season worked out well for those of us who bet against the SEC in last week’s big games (although I admittedly did have LSU over Clemson, which worked out well too 🙌🏻)! We imagine most Texas and Alabama fans must feel a lot like Coach Belichick’s UNC team on Monday night - deflated and ready to move on to Week 2 ☹️ There is plenty of season left, so there remains much to look forward to for even those schools who lost in Week 1. Similarly, it remains to be seen if FSU, LSU, and others can keep up their momentum from their big wins to open the season. One thing does seem to be certain based on Week 1: that Ohio State defense is the real deal 😲

For the NFL, the season started off with quite a surprise on Thursday - and no, I am not talking about Jalen Carter spitting 💦 on Dak Prescott, although that was surprising too. It was shocking to see the Cowboys be as competitive as they were (at least based on how the media was treating them post-Micah), and it was just as shocking to see CeeDee Lamb struggle with drops 👐🏻 in such critical moments in the game. (Not sure Jerry will be too happy signing CeeDee’s huge paycheck 💰 after this week’s game.) Speaking of shocking, the LA Chargers also shocked ⚡ the Chiefs last night in a huge win to open the season! (That plane ride back to LA from Brazil will be a bit more enjoyable now!)
