Drama in Dallas: Jerry Jones v. Micah Parsons

We did it, BettrNation family 🥳 We made it to the official start of the (CFB) season! While it is just a taste of the larger buffet 🍴 next week (which is technically Week 1 for CFB), Week 0️⃣ kicks off today with a notable matchup between #22 Iowa State and #17 Kansas State in Dublin, Ireland 🍀 (Yes, you read that right. CFB is taking a page out of NFL playbook and is doubling down on some international contests. It isn’t like these kids have class to go to or anything…😏) While I’ve enjoyed filling my time with MLB, golf and the WNBA, it will be nice to watch a sport with a bit more fast-paced action, especially now that the scores actually count!
Not to be overshadowed by the start of the CFB season (or any other news for that matter), the NFL continues to make headlines, which is due in large part to Jerry Jones and his Dallas Cowboys. In case you haven’t heard, there is some drama 🫢 building down in the Lone Star State as Jerry Jones and his star player, Micah Parsons, continue to trade jabs on the Parsons contract 📝 situation. Coincidentally, Netflix also just released a documentary on “America’s Team”, which focuses on when the Dallas Cowboys were actually good (i.e., they were actually relevant during the football season). With the kickoff of the NFL season right around the corner, it remains to be seen whether Parsons and Jerry will be able to reconcile and begin to focus 🔎 on what really matters - trying to make sure the Philadelphia Eagles don’t destroy them on opening night!
Now that football season has returned (well, kinda…), we hope that you are just as excited as we are - not just for Saturdays and Sundays full of football but also to (hopefully) win some cash 💵 this season from the books! We look forward to betting bettr with you this season!
